Help build a stronger and more resilient SSE in 2025!

Southside Eagles is a not-for-profit incorporated Association governed by a volunteer management and general committee. 

The club has experienced extraordinary growth over recent years and to help the club drive a stronger and more resilient future, we are seeking members of our community to take on the following volunteer general committee roles: 

Committee Roles:

The commitment for committee roles would be approximately one hour per week. You would also be required to attend the General Committee Meeting held on the first Tuesday of each month 6.30pm to 8.00pm at the Clubhouse.  

Member Protection Officer (MPO):  

The Member Protection Office plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, fairness, and wellbeing of all participants in the sport.  MPO Position Description

Women’s and Girl’s Football Lead: 

The Women’s and Girl’s Football Lead plays a pivotal role in driving gender equity and enhancing opportunities for female participation across all levels of the game. Women’s Football Coordinator Position Description

General Volunteer Roles:

The commitment for general volunteer roles varies. Attendance at monthly meetings is not required.

Disaster Resilience Coordinator:

The Disaster Resilience Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the club’s emergency preparedness and response strategies. Disaster Resilience Position Description

Other priority volunteer roles for 2025: 

  • DJ and MC – required for FQPL1 men’s and FQPL2 women’s home games 
  • Equipment Lead/s – approximately 1 hour per month during the season and up to 10 hours in October/November and March to assist with equipment tracking, storage and distribution
  • Uniform Shop Support – 3 hours every 2nd Saturday during the season assisting in the uniform shop
  • Member Protection Support – 2-3 volunteers required to support the Member Protection Office approximately 1 hour per month
