U9 Kangaroo 2 & U10 – U12 Kangaroo 1 & 2 levels
Different levels:
• Football Queensland Academy (FQA) Program: This is an elite pathway for competitive players. Players are required to trial for entry into a Football Queensland Academy (FQA) team. Southside Eagles participates in FQA League 3. Teams train three times per week and attendance at all training sessions is mandatory.
• Kangaroo: This level is for players with advanced skills who are looking for a challenge and development pathways into FQ Academy Program. Matches are played with more speed, skill and tactics. The Kangaroo level is split into two subsequent levels: Kangaroo 1 (K1) and Kangaroo 2 (K2). Players are required to trial for entry into a Kangaroo team.

FQA Program Fees include:
• FFA-Accredited coach for all training sessions
• Technical Director providing oversight and direction
• Structured FQ Academy performance program
• Player Assessments
• Game recording/analysis
• Official Southside Eagles training shirt
• Playing shirts and shorts (these remain the property of Southside Eagles)
• All training and playing equipment
• Game-day field set-up, pack-down and maintenance
• End of season trophy and participation in trophy day event
• Insurances and administration
• Team Photo
• Inclusion at FQ tournaments (subject to FQ scheduling)
Not included in fees:
• Southside Eagles shorts and socks (required) which are available from the Uniform Shop for an additional cost
• Shin pads (required)
• Soccer boots (required)

Kangaroo U9 K2 & U10 – U12 K1 / K2 Fees Include:
• 2 weeks of pre-season games + 18 weeks of official season (20 weeks total)
• Official Southside Eagles training shirt
• Playing shirts (remain club property and must be returned at season end)
• All training and playing equipment
• Field set up, pack down and maintenance
• Referee fees
• End of season trophy and participation in Trophy Day
• Football Queensland fees
• Insurances and administration
• Kangaroo teams receive 2 x training sessions from a dedicated coach
Not included in fees:
• Team Photo
• Southside Eagles shorts and socks (required) which are available from the Uniform Shop for an additional cost

Trials:
• Open trials will be held in October as per Football Queensland’s mandated schedule
• Trials will be held to fill positions for all teams listed above (FQA and Kangaroo)
• There may be pre-season trials in early 2026 to fill final vacancies
• Players cannot attend trials if there are fees outstanding from 2025
