Preparing for trials:

To help ensure a smooth and well organised trial experience, please review the checklist below:
• Confirm you have submitted an Expression of Interest to trial.
• Ensure you have entered your child in the correct age group.
• Ensure your contact details (phone number and email address) are correct.
• Players should wear their Southside Eagles training kit if they have one, or another suitable training kit.
• Shin pads and football boots are mandatory for all players.
• Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
• Bring a water bottle clearly labelled with your child’s name.

Parent & Guardian Guidelines
Parents and guardians must remain in the designated spectator area at all times. Standing on the field or sideline, or coaching players from the sidelines, is strictly prohibited. You may be asked to leave the grounds if these rules are not respected.

What Happens After Trials
Following the completion of trials, the Trial Leads and coaching staff work closely with the Club Technical Team to determine the make up of each team for the season ahead.

Outcomes for Players
• Successful players will receive a Letter of Offer outlining the result of their trial and next steps.
• Parents/guardians must accept the offer and pay the deposit by the due date.
If the offer is not accepted and the deposit is not paid on time, the position may be offered to another player.
• Unsuccessful players will be invited to submit an EOI for placement in an U9 – U12 Wallaby or Quokka or an U13 – U18 divisional team.

Feedback & Support
We understand this process can be emotional for players and families. If you would like to provide feedback on your trial experience, please contact the Technical Team.
