Which Course?

With so many courses available, its hard to know where to start, below is a basic overview of some “first steps” the FFA offer to help you get started.


Community Pathway

Below is a brief description of the community coaching pathway, for further detail please click here

Grass Roots certificate; This is coaching “101” for beginners looking to coach new players.

Skill Training certificate; This course will focus on building a solid foundation of Technical Skill and deals with the development of the 4 Functional Game Skills:

  1. First Touch
  2. Striking the Ball
  3. Running with the Ball
  4. 1 v 1

Game Training certificate; This course will enable the coach to develop players tactical awareness, perception and decision making through a game related approach to training.

The coach will help players develop functional Game Skills in a team setting using the FFA endorsed ‘1-4-3-3’ formation.

Senior Coaching certificate; In this course the coach will learn to develop players for a competition environment where winning becomes the main aim. Training focuses on solving football problems, based on match analysis. FOOTBALL CONDITIONING also becomes a key part of the course.


Advanced Pathway

  • Asia C License (Junior); This course is the first step to coaching elite level players from the ages of U13 to U16. The course will focus on delivering technically advanced sessions to talented juniors to prepare them to compete in elite level football competitions.
  • Asia C License (Senior); This course is the first step to coaching elite level players from Under 18 and up. The course will focus on delivering technically advanced sessions to talented senior players to allow them to compete in elite level football competitions.
