SOUTHSIDE EAGLESUnder 9 – Under 12 boys performance teams are graded into two different levels:
- Football Queensland Academy (FQA): This is an elite pathway program for competitive players. Players are required to trial for entry into a Football Queensland Academy (FQA) team. Southside Eagles participates in FQA League 3. Teams train three times per week and attendance at all training sessions is mandatory.
- Kangaroo: This level is for players with advanced skills who are looking for a challenge and development pathways into FQ Academy. Matches are played with more speed, skill and tactics. The Kangaroo level is split into two subsequent levels: Kangaroo 1 (K1) and Kangaroo 2 (K2). Players are required to trial for entry into a Kangaroo team.

Trials:
- Open trials will be held in October as per Football Queensland’s mandated schedule
- Trials will be held to fill positions for all teams listed above (FQA and Kangaroo)
- There may be pre-season trials in early 2026 to fill final vacancies
- Players cannot attend trials if there are fees outstanding from 2025
