What is EDP?

Eagles Development Program (EDP) is a program designed by our FFA accredited coaches to introduce the new Football Federation Australia National Curriculum.

The aim of the EDP is to perfect and accelerate the skill development of identified, talented boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 12 years of age who were not selected for SAP teams. By creating an environment whereby similarly talented players will get to train and play with one another and create a highly competitive, highly skilled football environment, with the intention to provide players with the opportunity to potentially compete for SAP positions if they become available.

Those selected will be receiving quality coaching in line with the SAP curriculum two times a week, under the watchful guidance of the clubs Miniroos Director Of Coaching Peter Merefield.

Southside Eagles EDP  players in the Under 9’s, Under 10’s, Under 11’s and U12’s age groups will compete weekly against other clubs in the Cross River and Local Hub Komodo teams from around Brisbane.

EDP is first steps in the pathway towards one of Queensland’s elite football competitions, the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues (NPL) Queensland and Football Queensland Premier League (FQPL).
